I have read this blog by S. Okwunodu Ogbechie occasionally but reading this post, A Gathering of the Clan, led me to mention the delightful experience,

Ogbechie also has an impressive  journal, Critical Interventions, the latest issue of which extends Ron Eglash's ground breaking work on African fractals, integrating art and mathematics in relation to various fields  from architecture to  systems for organising knowledge.
