View it in your browser.   The Africa Centre invites you to:   The Inaugural Tajudeen Abdul Raheem Lecture   Friday, December 14, 2012 Doors and Bar 6pm  Lecture starts 6.45pm followed by Q&A and discussion   'The African Union at Ten: with particular reference to Continental Security'   The eminent UN Ambassador Ibrahim Gambari will be speaking at the Africa Centre for the inaugural lecture in honour of the late Africa Centre Trustee Tajudeen Abdul Raheem, who died tragically in a car crash while working for a UN project in Kenya in 2009. The Africa Centre is proud to announce this as the first annual lecture in his memory. As Tajudeen was a devoted Pan-Africanist, it is fitting that the lecture should be on the subject of the African Union. UN Ambassador Ibrahim Gambari has worked tirelessly for Africa, most prominently for the United Nations as a Special Adviser on Africa for the last 13 years and he is a Patron of the Africa Centre. The Africa Centre Trustees are delighted to welcome him to the Centre as a focal point of the African world in London on this important occasion.
