I can not agree anyless with this writer! Why is it that our leaders think their lives and those of their immediate families are worth more than the lives of other citizens? From this latest kidnap to the narative of the president on the death of his brother, we continue to percieve the way and manner through which of power prioritise their own welfare, security and needs over those of the citizens they were elected to serve.

Jaye

An inept, opportunistic government bought over by politicians who train, arm bandits and bribe the Police does not care about ordinary Nigerians - how many have been kidnapped, murdered and tortured by government functionaries without so much as a word of caution from the government of President Goodluck Jonathan? How many lives have been lost in Akwa Ibom State without a single arrest?
Mr. President has shown enough care for members of his own family - the PDP family - despite the fact that some in the PDP are the arrangers of kidnappings and murders! Any government that regards, picks, and chooses some lives as more important than other lives is NOT a good government. Without taking away from the search for the mother of Mrs Okonjo-Iweala, it is very pertinent to ask - How many man-hunts has the government of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan launched for the MURDERERS of Mrs. Udonwa, Mrs. Effanga, and others from other states, kidnapped or killed, who did not have politically well-connected daughters or sons? Why were no pains taken by the Federal government to arrest and try the kidnappers, or even search for Mrs. Enwang when she was kidnapped? Has the friendship or comradeship or PDP-party-alliance existing between Governor Godswill Obot Akpabio and President Goodluck Jonathan inhibited justice and fairness in Akwa Ibom State? Has such relationships with other equally dubious governors, as far as kidnappings and murders are concerned, inhibited rightful action on the part of the President, whose Police Force has stood by while hundreds are murdered and kidnapped under Godswill Obot Akpabio? Let the world take note that thousands have been kidnapped in the Niger Delta States thus far without Federal government action to find the kidnappers, talk less try them. Let the world take note that hundreds have been murdered in Akwa Ibom State yet the President of Nigeria alluded to that fact just ONCE, publicly, only during his campaign tour to Uyo, and has kept quiet ever since over the numerous UNSOLVED murders and kidnappings in that State. Let the world inquire as to the nature of the relationship existing between Mr. President and the Governor of the most UNSAFE State in Nigeria - Akwa Ibom State. Let the world take note that Akwa Ibom State is currently a PDP State. Let the world take note of who, and how many within the PDP and Nigerian courts, Godswill Obot Akpabio has bribed thus far, to look the other way; on election malpractices, on kidnappings, and on UNSOLVED murders.
