USA Africa Dialogue Series - Technology and Citizen Participation in the Construction of Democracy

In April 2011, the international seminar on "Technology and Citizen Participation in the Construction of Democracy" was held in Guadalajara, Jalisco. This book gives a wider audience access to a selection of papers presented at that forum.This book addresses, from different viewpoints, a very topical subject: the contribution information and communication technologies (ICTs) make to developing democratic institutions and practices. Some of its contents deal with international advances in digital democracy.
