Chidi,
You say that " A writer cannot be sure of what he/she wrote until the
audience delivers the verdict."
Methinks that you are personalizing "a writer" - that you yourself
are a personification of all writers.
Anyway, I would not know, since I am not yet on ( a writer),although I
have reason to believe that there's some other kind of writer or
writers whowould not give two hoots about the kind of sentence or
sentences that their audience passes as a verdict on his or her or
their writing. A famous quip in point was " publish and be damned"
http://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&sugexp=les%3B&gs_rn=1&gs_ri=serp&pq=%22publish%20and%20be%20damned%22&cp=43&gs_id=v1&xhr=t&q=%20Arthur%20Wellesley%2C%201st%20Duke%20of%20Wellington%20%3A%22publish%20and%20be%20damned%22&pf=p&tbo=d&sclient=psy-ab&oq=+Arthur+Wellesley,+1st+Duke+of+Wellington+:%22publish+and+be+damned%22&gs_l=&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&fp=95a43a51ffe8381b&biw=986&bih=594
but that was about a writer of letters and maybe not the kind of
writer that you have in mind?
