Re: USA Africa Dialogue Series - BBC --- Timbuktu IslamicManuescripts Not Burned

My Egyptian teacher Adl Hamza (of Mansoura, Egypt ) used to tell me
that "A Muslim is a person that does not tell any lies" (I think it
was his subtle way of hinting at his disapproval of the Shia doctrine
of Taqiyya - which I think is a reasonable doctrine ( If the
marauding enemy is hunting down Negroes and they ask you " Are you a
Negro ?" wouldn't it be reasonable to say " No"?

If the two buildings that the Mayor of Timbuktu says were housing some
precious manuscripts have been burned down, surely charred remains of
those buildings is evidence that cannot be denied – except by the
miracle of un-burning the already burnt - like bring back a body of
flesh from the hot coals of the everlasting fires of jahanam

Only thing is that assuming that no inventory had been made as to the
contents or the number of manuscripts etc. then we don't know
exactly how many manuscripts have been lost if indeed there were some
manuscripts in those buildings prior to their being set on fire.

Mwalimu Bangura's statement can only be true/truthful if we can verify
that there were no manuscripts in the buildings that the mayor said
were burned down.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if he could provide us with the proof of the
claims that he's making!

Otherwise would it not be a heinous crime to falsely accuse the
Venerable Mayor of Timbuktu of lying?

Or should he be judged guilty until proved innocent?

They know that to do so will mean Hell Fire or Jahannama. For us Muslims, the Torah, the Bible, the Qur'an, the Hadith and other Islamic texts are very dare to us.
