Aridon: The International Journal of Urhobo Studies
The Editors of Aridon: The InternationalJournal of Urhobo Studies welcome submissions of research papers and book reviews for the 2013 Issue of the journal. The journal publishes well-researched and original papers on all aspects of Urhobo Studies: Language and Literature Studies, Linguistics, Theatre and Media Arts, Peace Studies, Conflict Studies, Conflict Management Studies, Niger Delta Studies, Gender Studies, Anthropology, Archaeology, Religious Studies, Philosophy, History, Politics, Diasporic Studies, Music, Fine Arts, Popularand Folk Cultures, Sciences, Urhobo in Nollywood, Fashion, Food, Agriculture and Agronomy, etc. The journal strives for interdisciplinary approach to research and scholarship which will create the platform for a common ground for scholarship and research on Urhobo and the world with Urhobo as the foundation for such intellectual inquiries. Comparative studies on Urhobo and other groups, especially the broader Pan-Edo world, will also be considered for publication.
Manuscripts of not more than 7000 words, with an abstract of about 250 words should be submitted to gagokus@yahoo.com and copied to tojaide@uncc.edu and ggdarah@yahoo.com before or on March 15, 2013. References must be presented in a consistent style sheet; the Editors prefer either MLA or APA. Essays must strive at originality and should, as the call suggests, expand the frontiers of scholarship on Urhobo Studies or open newapproaches to the study/teaching of Urhobo beyond familiar canons and inscriptions.
