USA Africa Dialogue Series - RE: OGA ACHEBE'S SPOUSE

Oga OA and Papa AB:

I found Chief Afolayan's post on Achebe that speaks to Mama's Achebe's contributions to the making of Papa Achebe. May the gods of Africa and God bless her. Thanks.

Yours is a worthy and timely redirection. Behind Achebe's success was the love and support of a dear wife and loving children. I remember Michael Afolayan's post on Achebe's wife travelling with him and pushing him seated in his wheel chair. She helped to make the Achebe story possible.

I have read a lot of the outpouring of tributes to Oga Chinua Achebe. I am struck by the fact that none of the tributes makes mention of  how his family, especially Mrs. Achebe, contributed to his achievements!
