Compatriots,
Ideas do change the world. Even those who have issues with Chinua Achebe the man also agree with this truism. Achebeism is what the world-renowned author's career has been all about and not necessarily his physical self. So, even those who may actually dislike his guts, because he could be brash and confrontational when he saw the need, uniformly salute and acknowledge the sage who has served as our cultural ambassador to the world for more than half a century.
In this edition of Achebeism Newsletter©, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) commends the nationalistic credentials of Chinua the man despite the truth he spoke with his final book, There Was a Country: A Personal History of Biafra. Achebeism stands on the truth and for what is best for Nigerians of all ethnic, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds. We need to rebuild our country on the truth that we can all believe in and trust to remain steadfast and endure.
