Re: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Toyin Falola Robed in Honor

I am not surprised at all that the enigma has just been robed again in honours. No one will weld together generations of people together on daily basis without being recognised at some point as a moral exemplar, a model, and a centrepiece of scholarship. In fact, for me, this award and the one we celebrated before the 2013 conference were late in coming. What are we waiting for, as a nation and a people? That it took these donkey years to applaud Professor Falola, especially in Nigeria, is a sad commentary to our depraved state as a people.
