Dr. Nadine Gracia, US Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services The Obama Administration is reaching out to various communities (Hispanics, Asians, Jewish, etc,) to explain the process and benefits of the new health policies that will take effect from October 2013. On July 11, 2013, the Obama Administration's US Assistant Secretary Health and Human Services Dr. Nadine Gracia will be meeting with the African community (Continental African community). About 100-139 leaders from community-based organizations, federal and local government agencies are expected to participate in the program from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. There would be a cocktail networking. The program will open with a welcome remark from the Ghana Embassy acknowledging the presence of Dr. Gracia and the Obama White House for including the African Community as a target population in addressing health and promoting the health of the population. The US Office of Minority Health will explain the overview of the program and Dr. Garcia will make the presentation on Affordable Care Act - Obama Care.
