Compatriots,

Achebeism Newsletter Vol. 5 is now in circulation. This edition is devoted to narrating perceptions of Achebe's leading contributions in the defense and assertion of our African culture and value system. Similarities of Achebe's work with the great accomplishments made by leading international scholars like the doyen of Igboukwu archeology, Professor Thurstan Shaw, were presented in the lead article titled Profs. Achebe & Thurstan Shaw: Birds of a Feather.

Sample selection from artifacts excavated in Igboukwu by Thurstan Shaw half a century ago are featured in a pictorial collage for your wonderment and pleasure.

Achebeism Newsletter Volume 5 is attached for your perusal. As usual, feel free to share as well as comment as you deem fit.

Okenwa.
