--Dear All:
I am sharing information on TRASH: AFRICAN CINEMA FROM BELOW, a new book authored by our own Oga Kenneth W. Harrow of Michigan State University, and published recently by Indiana University Press. Described by University of Michigan's Distinguished Professor Frieda Ekotto as "... highly original and deeply historicized", the 327-page book is an important sequel to Oga Kenneth's 2007 book, POSTCOLONIAL AFRICAN CINEMA: FROM POLITICAL ENGAGEMENT TO POSTMODERNISM, also published by Indiana University Press.
Apart from extending very much-deserving CONGRATULATIONS to Oga Kenneth W. Harrow, part of the intention for announcing the publication of the book this way is, indeed, for colleagues to know that the book is available and can be used in their classrooms, if need be.
A.B. Assensoh.
