It is a provocative question. But a preliminary survey contentiously suggests that they are hardly there. Kindly send any of their names my way.
So far these names have been put forward though it is proving very difficult to get any (seminal) text that they have written on political theory: Sylvia Tamale, Amina Mama, Ruth Meena and Bernadeta Killian. Perhaps the best way is to start with a list of our African political scientists.
For sure feminist theory is indeed a political theory. This is so whether it is advanced by political scientists or not and regardless of it being of politics with a big or small p. So in this regard TGNP's effort to theorize transformative feminism is indeed an attempt at political theorization.
