I still vividly remember that day at the opening ceremony of the maiden edition of the Garden City Literary Festival(now renamed Port Harcourt Book Festival?), at the University of Port Harcourt, when you. in company of Professor Wole Soyinka and Mrs Koko Kalango, after listening to my poem titled "Irigidim", asked me; "are you from the same region with Christopher Okigbo?".
I can never refer to you in the past tense, for I know that you will never die. This is a mere passage to another existence.
I am too shocked for tribute now. I hope I will recover soon enough for that.
