By Chidi Anthony Opara
Their preaching
Pummeled
The ears of parishioners.
The parish pounded
By shrill sermons
Of the pompous priesthood,
Cheers
From overzealous choristers.
Conceit
Climbed
The high horse.
The fall.
The jeers
From the jury.
The de-robing
Of the pompous priesthood
In the minds
Of discerning parishioners.
Tirades
From tearful choristers.
