Dear Dr. Falola,
It is heartening to encounter your towering professional accomplishments, your versatility, and your deeply humane concerns. May God grant you many, many more years to enable you to continue making your space richer, more beautiful than you met it.
Sheri and I wish you a brilliant 60th birthday!

--Dr. Falola,Congrats on your anniversary.Maybe your gift to Nigeria even as you celebrate would be to make your works more readily available in Nigerian brick-and-mortar bookshops.I bought the last copy of the collected works of Adiele Afigbo that you edited in the first quarter of the year. A standing order with Jazzhola, Ikoyi and a handful of other bookshops in Lagos have not yielded more copies,...8 months later.I had to buy more copies online for a handful of people that really wanted the book, including Dr. Walter Ofonagoro, who by the way is impressed with this platform. He recounted how they created a similar network of African students and scholars in North America over 50 years ago and had eye-watering pictures to go with them. Story for another dayI salute you on your anniversary, have a fantastic celebration.Okwy Okeke------------------------------------------
