Tinubu is the archetypical self-serving politician who is always in search of indistinct difference and putrid relevance. He prides himself in being the unofficial leader of the political opposition in Nigerian at the same time, that he is one of the more “successful” paramount leaders of Nigeria’s corrupt political elite. He is a tough act to follow in multi-tasking. The man has figured out politics in Nigeria. He pretends to be a progressive politician, at the same time that he is voraciously exploiting any politically created economic opportunities, gaps, and leaks by stealth. He is one of the opportunistic Nigerian politicians that have and continue, to milk the cow that is Nigeria, dry. He speaks from both sides of his mouth with two thoughts in his mind. All the signs are that he is in politics for personal economic reasons. His politics has ensured that he has and continues to reap much, much better than he will ever sow in Nigeria’s economic firmament. He should not be taken seriously, if the serious conversation, is about moving Nigeria forward for the benefit of the vanquished, suffering majority of his fellow citizens, that he continues to outpace and spurn.

Subject: Re: USA Africa Dialogue Series - National Conference Too Critical to be Left to the Flip-Flopping Presidency - Bola Tinubu
Dear All,
The Asiwaju of Lagos has brilliantly analyzed his objections to the proposed National Conference and he concludes ..."lack of respect for the opinions of others because they are in “Power” will have little success." Granted that all that he said were true, the conclusion he arrived at of "little success" interests me. Why don't we see the end of the President's proposed National Conference and it's little success? Perhaps it could lead to more success that we do not anticipate.
Of course, all the deceptive devices that the previous administrations before President Jonathan used to enhance their interests failed and today those leaders cannot get the trust and support of the electorate.
The President is probably aware of this and it will be stupid of him to do the same trick.
My view is that given the calibre of Nigerians that are assigned the job, we should allow them to finish it and wait for the President's next line of action before he is confronted with arsenal of criticisms.
Segun Ogungbemi.
