It is with heavy heart and total submission to the will of almighty God that I inform you of the death of Professor Michael Olanrewaju Filani. The foremost Emeritus Professor of Transport Geography, University of Ibadan who died on sunday 13th Oct. 2013. He was the immediate past National President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport In Nigeria. Also former National President Nigeria Geographical Association. As one of his student both at undergraduate and Graduate levels I have very great respect for this erudite scholar especially for his inspiration.. He was a teacher, counselor, adviser, mentor and a real BABA EWE. As popularly called MOF we all that passed through his school and drank from his milk of generosity and mentoring will miss this great man from Ikole Ekiti. We can only keep the flag flying. May his gentle soul rest in peace and in the bosom of God. Good night to my great teacher and friend. I will miss all we are used to sharing together SIR. Adieu and bye bye sir.
