Dear Professor Wole Soyinka,
I read and enjoyed the artistry displayed in your recent article titled “The Canonization Of Terror”. May I however remind you of the following:
(1) That Mohammed Abacha and Abbah Abacha are not the same as Sanni Abacha.
(2) That no stolen monies have so far been traced to the personal bank accounts of late General Sanni Abacha.
(3) That General Abacha’s aides who were accused of giving order for the assassination of MKO Abiola’s wife have been freed by the Supreme Court, the same way a Court freed you from terrorism charge in the 1960s. Also there are no credible evidences linking the General Abacha regime with the bombings you made reference to.
(4) That MKO Abiola did not die during the regime of late General Sanni Abacha. More over, there is no credible evidence that MKO Abiola was killed.
(5) That the terror of Asaba has been canonized since 1976 with no known protests from you.
Be well always sir, wishing you a happy 80th birthday anniversary celebration in advance.
