Dr. Chika A. Onyeani, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of the African Sun Times, Africa's No.1 newspaper in America and Chairman of the Celebrate Africa Foundation, will receive an Appreciation Award from the New York Police Department on Wednesday, April 23, 2014. A email to him states, "It's with great honor to inform you that you have been selected and invited to receive an appreciation Award from the New York City Police Department, Community Affairs Bureau/New Immigrant Outreach Unit. This is due to your continued support to the immigrant community in New York City and for helping the New Immigrant Outreach Unit in improving community relations throughout the city. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 23, 2013 at Brooklyn Borough Hall, 209 Joralemon Street, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11201, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm."
