Prof Assensoh:
Thanks for the correction o!
What I meant was:
Group A - Brazil, Mexico
Group B - Netherlands, Chile
Group C - Colombia, Ivory Coast
Group D - Italy, England
Group E - France, Ecuador
Group F - Argentina, Nigeria
Group G - Germany, USA
Group H - Belgium, Russia
I hope that the African teams make many of my predictions wrong....I won't complain.
It appears that Brazil, Germany or Netherlands - in that order - are the most likely to win the World Cup.
Best wishes always.

You have Chile appearing in Groups B & C, respectively. Is there a need for correction? My attention was drawn to what appears to be a slip of the pen by a dear friend I shared your tantalizing prediction with.

Subject: USA Africa Dialogue Series - My Predictions after Round 1 Group Play of World Cup 2014 in Brasil
--
My People:
After fully watching many of Round 1 matches, and at least snippets of ALL of them, my predictions of group-play winners are as follows:
Group A - Brazil, MexicoGroup B - Netherlands, ChileGroup C - Chile, Ivory CoastGroup D - Italy, EnglandGroup E - France, EcuadorGroup F - Argentina, NigeriaGroup G - Germany, USAGroup H - Belgium, Russia
Those are sixteen predictions...not all easy. My target success rate is 80% - that is, thirteen correct, with England, Nigeria (unfortunately) and Russia being my doubtful ones above.
And there you have it.
