Reports from Okemesi revealed that an extensive search for APC local leaders is ongoing. The Chairman of the Okada Riders Union reported that three black jeeps were driven into Okemesi. Two of the jeeps parked outside Obalanla compound while the third was driven to a nearby bush. Security operatives are busy knocking on doors of known APC leaders.
In Igbemo-Ekiti, APC Youth leader Sunday Osho has been arrested by operatives suspected to be from Department of State Security.
Earlier, The Chairman of Oye LGA was arrested by soldiers at a checkpoint at Ifaki junction. The Chairman was escorted by his orderly in mufti but had his service pistol with him. The soldiers whisked away the Chairman and his orderly to an undisclosed location.Also, the security operatives deployed to Ekiti State arrested some APC leaders in Ilejemeje-Ekiti. The Police officers and the Nigerian army that effected the arrest tonight, arrived in a pick-up van led by a former member of the House of Representatives, Duro Faseyi. They whisked an APC leader Mr Olaiya away to an unknown destination from Iye-Ekiti. They visited Mr Bode Ajayi's house three times to arrest him, but he was lucky to be away from home. In Ipere town, The wife of another APC leader, Mr Kehinde Babatola, was arrested in lieu of her husband by the security operatives.
In another development, some soldiers and SSS operatives stormed EMAX hotel in Ado-Ekiti and arrested 6 young men inside the hotel premises. The men were seen sitting on the floortonight guarded by heavily armed soldiers. The reporters of several media organizations staying in the hotel were spared.__._,_.___
