USA Africa Dialogue Series - African Cities That Send the Most Students to College in the United States

"The report shows that five cities in Africa sent a total of 15,107 students to U.S. universities between 2008 and 2012. The most students came from Lagos, Nigeria, which sent a total of 4,741 students to study in the United States. Nairobi, Kenya, ranked a close second, sending 4,191 students to America during the period.  Accra, Ghana, and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, ranked third and fourth.The report found that African students in the U.S. spent about $300 million for tuition and other fees to U.S. universities.
