Event: A Roundtable discussion on the Ebola Crisis in West Africa, September 22, between 4-6p.
Venue: CUNY Graduate Center (365 Fifth Avenue, New York, New York, between 34th & 35th Streets).
Sponsors: The event would he held under the auspices of the Advanced Research Collaborative.
CUNY Graduate Center anthropology and other interested faculty and students
from the Graduate Center and other CUNY colleges.
Objective: We aim to invite some doctors and public health scholars in the New York area
to participate along with people from the Nigerian, Liberian, Sierra Leonean, and
Guinean communities in the metropolitan area.
We hope to have an event that would help the situation in West Africa by mobilizing constituencies
of support here in the US for stronger and more effective interventions, especially in public education.
