Big-lensed Persol sunglasses with tortoiseshell frames conceal his eyes, and a black handkerchief, knotted in the front, encircles his neck. Enwezor, 50, is best known as the director of the Haus der Kunst museum in Munich, and earlier this year, he was appointed artistic director of the next Venice Biennale. But before he had anything to do with contemporary art, Enwezor was a poet.
