TRIBUTES IN MEMORY OF PROFESSOR WOLE OGUNDELE
In honor of the memory of Professor Wole Ogundele, who passed on September
25, 2014, the Department of English, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife,
where he spent most of his career as scholar and teacher, is putting
together a book of tributes so that his friends, associates, colleagues,
and students can share some of their experiences they had with him.
Although some people may be able to speak about the experiences they
shared with Professor Ogundele at the burial ceremony at Ile Ife on
November 22, 2014, the book of tributes will allow more people and more
space to express feelings and impressions about this respected scholar. It
will also outlive the present and serve as a reminder of all that he means
to those who know him.
Contributions are, therefore, invited from interested friends, colleagues
and former students of Professor Ogundele. They should be submitted on or
before Monday November 10, 2014. The contributions should not be more than
2500 words and can be submitted to the following email addresses:
Professor Gbemisola Adeoti <ayinla80@yahoo.com>
Dr Kayode O Ogunfolabi <kayode@ogunfolabi.org>
