As the sun rises in the East and sets in the West
may we move forward and not backward.
may we move forward and not backward.
Embrace the change generated by building strong institutions
such as the strengthening of electoral justice
empowering the electorate by making sure their voices are heard through their votes
Embrace the creative change of
empowering citizens through unrestrained freedom of speech
plugging corruption through accounting systems-IPPIS and IPS
that prevent direct access to money by those who work for the govt, that being Nigeria's chief source of corruption
Embrace the positive transformation created by
fighting doggedly against religious extremists
and never giving up in the face of various distractions
building schools for impoverished children in Northern Nigeria
integrating them into modern society
shielding them from murderous fanatics who want to feed on hunger, pain and alienation to create terrorists out of the children
Hold tight the creative force
from
gradually transforming the national transport system
through rebuilding abandoned rail transport and dilapidated roads
developing and executing agricultural initiatives
that enrich the nation beyond dependence on oil
developing increased power supply through diversifying
the management, generation and distribution of electricity
managing the most prosperous economy in Africa
even as we work to expand the power of that economy to all Nigerians
embrace the transformative power of the government of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan
