USA Africa Dialogue Series - Re: Request to Nigeria's Independent Electoral Commision( INEC) for Information on Credentials of General Muhammadu Buhari as Requirements for the 2015 Presidential Election

The correct link for the news report on the letter to INEC by the Advocacy for Societal Rights Advancement and Development Initiative (ASRADI) from which I copied the letter I sent to INEC through INEC's website.

I, Oluwatoyin Vincent Adepoju, a concerned Nigerian citizen, invoke  the Freedom of Information Act in requesting  from the Independent National Electoral Commission of Nigeria, the following information  about  Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), APC Presidential Candidate for the 2015 Presidential  Election.

This information is to be delivered within seven days from today, the 4th of January 2015. 

1. Did Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) submit any academic certificate(s) when he contested Presidential elections in 2003, 2007 and 2011?

2. Has Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) submitted any academic certificate(s) in respect of the upcoming February 14, 2015 presidential election?

3. Does an affidavit in lieu of academic certificates not require a candidate to list their academic qualifications and certificates obtained?

5. Did Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd)submit a birth certificate or sworn affidavit of age to the Commission in 2003, 2007 and 2011?

6. Has Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) submitted a birth certificate or sworn affidavit of age in respect of the upcoming February, 14, 2015 presidential election?
