They enable rich discussions pooling the knowledge and skills of several participants in a manner unparalleled in writing outside the dialogical works of the Greek philosopher Plato and Indian dialogical philosophical and spiritual literature.
The only drawback they demonstrate is the challenge of locating them as time goes on and more current discussions displace older ones.
To enable ease of access to fascinating discussions I encounter on Facebook, Yahoo and Google groups and other social networks, I am building a website, using the free Wix platform, that will house links to these discussions.
Facebook, of course, is accessible only to registered users.
I highly recommend that registration.
Some discussions will be restricted by the owners of Facebook accounts to those who are their friends.
Some Facebook, Yahoo and Google groups discussions will be visible only to group members.
Even with these limitations, a lot of information and rich dialogue remains accessible to the public.
You may click on the link above or on this line to take you to the site and read the one discussion on Facebook linked so far.
It is linked under the "Economics of Development" section of the website, the discussion being on the Lagos and Part harcourt rail projects and the Nigerian economy in relation to transparency in development projects.
