It seems that there is a confusion here as to what Buhari’s statement means and what constitutes a proof. First, a party is not a person, and if it were, Buhari was a candidate of the APC but he is now the President of Nigeria, he can choose to be bi-partisan or non-partisan, to govern without label, form a government of national unity or what have you, and he can even choose to implement the policies of the PDP. Except you are a diviner, we have no way of knowing if any of this will be true or false as at yet. To claim that you have a proof of an action in advance is simply presumptuous. What Buhari said is the first condition of the position of the Presidency, it is so basic that it should not be news or generate any controversy. It is what we should demand of him. If you are skeptical that any Nigerian President can live up to his or her mandate, perhaps, lie is to the right label for what you are saying, then.

Bode,
Which other proof do you need. I already stated in my post, the reasons for labeling the statement a lie.
CAO.

CAO,It is your view, then that APC is not a political organization but Somebody. Even in that context, is it possible to belong to a party without belonging to anybody in a party? And to press it even further, to call a statement a lie, would that statement not have to be contradicted by some other statement or action? If this is Buhari’s first proclamation as president, the test of that statement is not yet available and to call it a lie is itself contradicted by the absence of any possible proof which makes the charge by itself the real lie.BodeOn 5/30/15, 5:03 AM, "Chidi Anthony Opara" <chidi...@gmail.com> wrote:President Muhammadu Buhari contested the 2015 presidential election on the platform of All Progressives Congress(ÀPC). So his policies will be predicated on the manifesto of his party.
The criteria for the choice of persons to work with the president will be based on the Ideological compartibility of such persons with the APC manifesto.
At the end of the President's four-year-tenure, the success or failure of his administration will be judged by the implementation or non implementation of the APC manifesto.
Although President Buhari is every Nigerian's President, he belongs to the APC on whose platform he became President and there is nothing wrong with that.
It is unfortunate that the change started with a lie.
CAO.
