Does the above statement apply to the AD wing of the APC presently, Ogugua Anunoby asked?

Since there is no AD wing of APC the question asked by Ogugua Anunoby becomes extravagant and constitutes an unnecessary distraction. AD participated in the last Federal Elections and it is one of the political parties that adopted Goodluck Ebelechukwu Azikiwe Jonathan as its Presidential Candidate. However, an updated information about APC will reveal that it is an amalgamation of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), All Nigerian Peoples' Party (ANPP) and a part of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) led by Governor Okorocha of Imo State. The new PDP under the Chairmanship of Baraje only joined the APC after it had been formed and registered mainly by the leaders of ACN, CPC, ANPP and Okorocha's faction of APGA.

The APC's gospel of "supremacy of the party" as preached by its criminal leaders outside the legislature in Abuja, is a ruse employed by the said leaders to enable their covert manipulation of the legislators, to ensure their surreptitious control of the presidency - Ogugua Anunoby.

The legislature in Abuja is composed of Legislators elected on the platform of different political parties and programmes. It must be obvious to anyone with common-sense, whether a legislator or not, that a legislator cannot claim independence of action against the program of his/her party on whose platform she/he is elected into the National Assembly. Party supremacy is not a gospel from the APC but a well established democratic practice throughout the world. If a party member disagrees with the decision of the majority in his party, the only honourable thing to do is to resign from the party. In plain language, Nigerians voted for APC to produce President and Deputy President of the Senate and anything short of that is fraud.

The surprise is that the AD wing of the APC in their untoward arrogance and malicious determination to exclude some parts of the country in the APC government, underestimated them and continues to do so - Ogugua Anunoby.

As it has been pointed out earlier, there is nothing like AD wing of APC. Nevertheless, I cannot understand where Ogugua Anunoby got his information about the intention of a wing of APC to exclude some parts of the country in the APC government. The President, Mohammadu Buhari, is yet to announce the composition of his government and it is highly irresponsible and anti-intellectual to insinuate about the exclusion of some parts of the country from the government. The important matter of how Nigerians are governed should not be reduced to region or ethnicity. If you are Minister of Power and you are producing Mega Watts of darkness, the mere fact that your face is carved up vertically and horizontally with ethnic marks and speak the same language with me, does not excuse your gross incompetence in office as long as I enjoy the same life of darkness as other Nigerians. It is not my ethnic group that is incompetence of generating electricity for Nigerians but the individual Minister of power in question who is remunerated to generate electricity. Only lunatics will feel sense of belonging, because their kith and kin are appointed into offices, even though goods and services expected from the offices are neither delivered to the country nor to their kith and kin. For me, it would not matter if all appointed officials are from the same village or ethnic group as long as their productions are enjoyed by the entire citizens. Nigerians, for instance, do not care what languages the makers of the vehicles they ride in speak.

It is absurd to justify the emergence of a PDP Senator, Ike Ekweremandu, as the Deputy Senate President, on the ground that South-East would have been alienated from the National Assembly's Principal Officers. During Jonathan's Presidency, Senate President was from North Central, Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremandu, was from South-East, Speaker of the House was from the North-West while the Deputy Speaker is from South-East. That was understandable because ACN, with the exception of labour party controlled Ondo state, controlled the Southwest. Similarly now, PDP and its allies controlled the Southeast but PDP are in minority in the National Assembly. Therefore, Ike Ekweremandu has no right to contest for Deputy Senate President's post because his party, PDP, is in minority in the Senate. Only a criminal would support the emergence of Ike Ekweremandu as Deputy Senate President.

Does the above statement apply to the AD wing of the APC presently? It seemingly does. The APC's politics was always one of contrived necessity and overt dishonor. Good faith was always in short supply. The AD and the PDP politicians who joined the party did so in bad faith. Their drive was opportunism more than anything else. That drive is still a compelling force for many of them and pulling them apart. It is their original sin. It is little surprise therefore that they remain burdened to it.

The APC's gospel of "supremacy of the party" as preached by its criminal leaders outside the legislature in Abuja, is a ruse employed by the said leaders to enable their covert manipulation of the legislators, to ensure their surreptitious control of the presidency. The Old PDP wing of APC, and Buhari know this. The surprise is that the AD wing of the APC in their untoward arrogance and malicious determination to exclude some parts of the country in the APC government, underestimated them and continues to do so. Buhari it seems may have used the Old AD to achieve two of his long cherish objectives- to be elected president, and restore his core constituency to power in Abuja.

The AD wing (ADW) of the APC should have known that there is no honor among thieves. They steal from each other including their jointly owned loot. The ADW is well advised to go back to the drawing board. It should as a matter of urgency, review its strategy, tactics, and posture if it is not to suffer more disappointments and embarrassment in the days and months ahead.

The new PDP and the old PDP have seized the National Assembly from the APC that majority of Nigerians voted for in the last elections to effect a change of rule by kleptomaniacs. With the capture of the National Assembly by the corrupt old and the new PDP legislatures, Buhari's chance of fighting corruption in Nigeria is zero. Nigerians voted for APC to rule Nigeria and any attempt to prevent them from ruling by the party that was voted out of power by absolute majority of Nigerians should lead to stiff resistance or fracas in the House.

It is all very well to condemn the fracas in the House. It is necessary too to condemn the interference in the affairs of the House and Senate, by unelected, lawless, and powerful politicians who seek to direct legislative affairs and the presidency by manipulating some puerile legislators from outside the legislature.
