RE: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Re: Buhari appoints murderer of Sawo Wiwa to Customs post

Foul-mouthed internet miscreants and Nigerian-American hobos now make cheap attempts to impugn on the integrity of Buhari. They cannot even get their facts ready before churning out their immoderate judgements on issues. To begin with, Buhari has appointed one Colonel HAMEED IBRAHIM ALI (RTD) as Comptroller-General, Nigerian Immigration Service and not Colonel HAMID ALI (RTD) as asserted by the Nigerian-American hobo and his gangs. Thus, if it is true that one Col. Hamid Ali was a member of the tribunal that sentenced Ken Saro-Wiwa to death, he is not the same person as Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (rtd) who is now appointed Comptroller-General of NIS.

The attachment to the post of Nigerian-American hobo contains the following, "When asked if he had any regret in the role he played in the heartless murder of Ken Saro-Wiwa and the 'Ogoni 9,' Col. Hamid Ali, who was the Secretary General of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) said he had no regrets over his role in the process that led to Saro-Wiwa's execution."

My questions to the immoderate Nigerian-American hobo are : Who asked Col. Hamid Ali, if he regretted his role in the heartless murder of Ken Saro-Wiwa and the Ogoni 9? Where and when was the question asked?

Further in the attachment, it is stated, "Col. Ali was a die-hard IBB boy who famously declared he would follow General Ibrahim Babangida to war blindfolded but they fell out after Babangida annulled the June 12, 1993 elections, with him telling his principal that he was wrong, pointing out that Abiola should be sworn-in as president even if he was the devil."

If your Col. Ali was pro-Abiola and against the annulment of June 12, 1993 elections, how then could he be loved and trusted by Sani Abacha the incarcerator of Abiola and signatory to the execution order of Saro-Wiwa? Are you really sure if any Col. Ali was a member of the tribunal that tried the nine Ogoni activists? Can you publish names of members of the tribunal that tried the Ogoni activists?

Finally, the immoderate Nigerian-American Hobo, acting like a rascal wrote, "I wonder what Professor Wole Soyinka AND Professor Niyi Osundare think of Buhari appointing Saro Wiwa's murderer to head Customs."

Where is the evidence that Col. Ali murdered Saro-Wiwa? Have Professors Soyinka and Osundare agreed with the 'wonderer' that Col. Ali murdered Saro-Wiwa? In 2013, President Goodluck Jonathan posthumously awarded national honour to Sani Abacha which his son Mohammed Abacha was invited to collect on behalf of his father. For the same occasion, Wole Soyinka was awarded National honour, but he wrote to reject his award because he could not associate with murderers. Where was this *wonderer* when President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan posthumously awarded National Honour to Sani Abacha, who signed Saro-Wiwa's death warrant? I will rather slap you with the truth rather than kiss you with lies.

It's getting kind of messy. First the Sambo Dasuki and Buhari imbroglio – in which fair play (Buhari) won the day, and now this unworthy headline:
" Buhari appoints murderer of Sawo Wiwa to Customs post"
His hands are dirty but his heart is clean?
It looks like Chief Justice Ikhide will soon be rounding up all old military brass, to be summarily tried and executed for treasonable support for one coup or another. Will issue a warrant for their arrest. Line em all up.  Jujuman Adepoju maybe, could help with some of his secret charms, help effect the desirable changes. (Mahatma Gandhi: "Be the change that you wish to see in the world."
The media vultures are hungry.  It is the intention of some of Nigeria's commentators to keep President Buhari's feet close to the fire.  Not that accountability (the mother of caution) is something that is required later, but having signalled that he ( like Pope, Archbishop, Chief Imam,   Commander-in- chief  more or less wants a cabinet of saints, of pious men – so,  the media will hold him to his high standards - from which to fall is a most grievous sin.  What to expect other than more skeletons coming out of the wardrobe?
Whomsoever President Buhari nameth will be subject to the most minutest scrutiny possible, even Archbishops (of local Pentecostals) – or revered Imams that he may name will all be subject to laser beams being focused on them, from the cradle to the latest moment…
The fact of the matter is that if you dig deep enough you'll find that everyone is connected to the past, even innocent bystanders are connected to the past.  But the inter-connectedness of the black spider kalabule artists is on another level, a veritable web/cesspool of corruption.
I'll never forget that bank manager  requesting  that I give him half of my money, so that I could take it out in £ Sterling immediately
In the realm of Nigerian political personages, some of the vermin (for lack of a better word) some of the vermin are connected to past lootocracies…
Chidi, do y7ou agree?
Something for you

Muhammadu Buhari's appointment of Col Ali as CG Customs is particularly insensitive and offensive and shows Buhari's callousness. Ali was part of the team that authorized the murder of the writer and activist Kenule Saro Wiwa. Let me just say this: Buhari is an evil man and any writer on his camp after this is an evil person. If you wink at this travesty, it will be your turn some day. What does the Association of Nigerian Authors think about this? Wow!

PS.

I wonder what Professor Wole Soyinka AND Professor Niyi Osundare think of Buhari appointing Sawo Wiwa's murderer to head Customs... SMH
