What a strange people! Why should anyone believe that "Buhari will do the right thing?" Does it make sense, for anyone to assume, that the source of the funds that the former Rivers State Governor was showering on the Buhari campaign was unknown, to the presidential candidate?

Was General Buhari's Election bankrolled with funds looted from Rivers State?
This is the question on the lips of millions of Rivers people today who have recently been stamped with unquestionable evidence that Rotimi Amaechi as Governor of Rivers State ordered the transfer of more than a hundred million dollars ($100m) to questionable bank accounts just days before the APC Presidential Primaries in Lagos on December 10, 2014.
This week, the indigenes of Rivers State took these allegations a step further by producing documents, evidence and facts which show that about $105 million was actually moved from the Rivers State's Power Sales Assets account with Access Bank to a number of companies who interestingly share a common business address.
Using full-page advertorials (with signed affidavits) published in reputable national dailies such as ThisDay Newspapers (of August 3) and The Guardian (of August 04, 2015, Pages 60 & 61).
They gave details of the various companies to which these monies were channeled as provided below;
| S/N | Transaction Date | Beneficiary Company & Address | Amount Transferred |
| 1 | 1/12/14 | Advante Consulting & Mgt Co., 25 Trans Amadi Rd, Port Harcourt | $ USD 10,000,000.00 |
| 2 | 1/12/14 | Result Import Export Co., 25 Trans Amadi Rd, Port Harcourt | $ USD 15,000,000.00 |
| 3 | 1/12/14 | Capital Index Ltd 25 Trans Amadi Rd, Port Harcourt | $ USD 20,000,000.00 |
| 4 | 1/12/14 | Capital Index Ltd 25 Trans Amadi Rd, Port Harcourt | $ USD 25,000,000.00 |
| 5 | 8/12/14 | Capital Index Ltd 25 Trans Amadi Rd, Port Harcourt | $ USD 15,000,000.00 |
| 6 | 8/12/14 | Capital Index Ltd 25 Trans Amadi Rd, Port Harcourt | $ USD 10,000,000.00 |
| 7 | 8/12/14 | Capital Index Ltd 25 Trans Amadi Rd, Port Harcourt | $ USD 10,000,000.00 |
[Culled from the Nigerian Guardian of August 4, 2015 – page 60/61]
Transaction dates: December 1, 2014, December 8, 2014
Date of APC Presidential Primaries: December 10, 2014
What is most worrisome about the movements of these funds is the claim by officials such as the Accountant General of Rivers State as well as the Directors and Permanent Secretaries in the Ministries of Power and Finance that they knew nothing about this particular transaction was done!
The said sum of $105m (which translates to about Twenty-One Billion Naira - N21,000,000,000.00) was part of monies received for the sale of Rivers power assets (which were hurriedly sold without recourse to due process) and paid into an account at Access Bank.
The various groups, speaking on behalf of Rivers people have prayed the Buhari Government to ensure that whatever monies the Rotimi Amaechi siphoned from the coffers of Rivers State should be retrieved urgently and all those who conspired to perpetrate the raping of Rivers State in such a manner should all be brought to book immediately.
It is their belief that General Buhari will do the right thing.
