I must say that Chinua Achebe in There Was A Country, inadvertently, presents us with historical facts that are unmissable about political imbalance, corruption (in fact, the roots of corruption on ethnic grounds), tribal supremacists. The events that truncated the January 15, 1966 coup an ethnic political power and tribal supremacy, which Achebe confirms. So, why this hue about corruption and tribal sentiments when we all know where these emanate from? The first time I read There wad a Country, I read an underline tribal arrogance and biases.... Ofure
