Thanks. Glad you enjoyed my truly scattered thoughts on this issue. I've been getting great feedback on the essay, with most people saying that it speaks to their experiences and that it tells their stories.

I had fun writing it. Sometimes the context of production and origins matter as much as the product, so let me say that I began writing this piece in Ilorin, Kwara State, during my summer seminar at KWASU alongside Professors Adeleke Adeeko and Pius Adesanmi. This essay perpetually ties me to Ilorin, at least mentally.
