So, where was this after-the-fact sense of shame when the chief was accepting his own share of the "arms deal?" Oh, maybe, he thought he was just getting his own share of the "national cake?"

Subject: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Re: Transcorruption Agenda! I'm ashamed to be linked with arms scandal – Falae
Afis, Olu Ojedokun:
Anybody who encourages Chief Olu Falae along these lines of casuistry and subterfuge does not like him paa-paa. He has two strikes against him:
- being leader of one party, taking money from another party (and not disclosing such a financial arrangement openly and contemporaneously). We all only found out about this "arrangee" when this dam broke.
- finding out that the money given to him by Chief Anenih was from proceeds received from ONSA Dasuki (which Anenih confirmed), which we now know should have been used for other security/arms purpose. If Dasuki had used the money for other GOVERNMENT-BUDGETED purpose, it might have been partially okay - he may have justified some urgent necessity - but it was used for DIRECT POLITICAL PARTY funding as well as PRIVATE gain. Instead of misapplication, it became misappropriation and direct stealing.
The case is still on, the list is growing (including now to ex-Service Chiefs Amosu and co.) but the evidence is damning, because everybody seems to be singing like canaries.....because they did not have enough time to "swallow" all the evidence a la Metuh...
And there you have it.

Sir,
Unfortunately the link reveals nothing, however, I am certain we can petition EFCC to pursue them to verify your claims but till then they are simply speculations.

Subject: [OmoOdua] Re: [AfricanWorldForum] Transcorruption Agenda! I'm ashamed to be linked with arms scandal – FalaeOluWith due respect, you are still missing my point. I am not holding brief for Chief and I do not expect you to hold brief for him.Bit for you to say that there is no credible evidence that APC in funding their campaign committed larceny of equal proportion without showing me who won lotto or spent his/her inheritance fly in the face of obvious logic. In the election APC matched PDP dollar for dollar, pound for pound and Naira for Naira.Maybe you know any member of APC with money trees in their backyard.Let us face the real issue and my beef, it is with the partisan undemocratic process of investigating the looters. Even PMB first time around was better than the current dog and pony show circus going on now. You have different politicians and media rep of the administration now taking the role of chief prosecutor
On Wednesday, January 27, 2016, Olu Ojedokun employlawone@aol.com[OmoOdua] <OmoOdua@yahoogroups.com> wrote:Sir,Please lets clear this up, I hold no brief for APC and an attempt at misdirection towards the alleged crimes of APC via its funding is currently not the issue. You have not come forward with any credible evidence that it was funded through illegal budgetary appropriations even if that is the case, so we wait till then.As for emotions, I cannot place your comment anywhere, ordinarily, because of my close affinity to the Chief I should support him, but I cannot support the receipt of funds of such magnitude for PDP amongst rumours of grand larceny, and then place my head in the sand, pretending the said funds are normal proceeds. Then when presented with the evidence that it might have been arms funds for electoral pacts pretend all is well? There is no hypocrisy on my path, only pointed out the obvious that the Chief has a lot to answer for, he has fallen below the bar we set for men such as his stature, no amount of misdirection towards APC can erase that.Olu/-----Original Message-----

I'm ashamed to be linked with arms scandal – FalaeOluAs a reputable attorney, you should be less emotional in your assessment. The evidence so far do not Supp your submission. It is unfortunate that enlightened legal scholars like you and Femi Falana are allowing your emotion to becloud your judgment. The money was given to SDP via Chief Falae for the party to campaign for SDP.You see how some of you were taken and still bewitched, was wrapping campaign money with the arms money, which to reasonable minds is very cynical.Let APC and you guys tell us the sources of APC money. Tell us how many Nigerians have died directly and indirectly because of misappropriation of funds by APC govs. You guys should stop this audacity of hypocrisy and stop carrying dirty water laden with obvious deceit.

Subject: [OmoOdua] Re: [AfricanWorldForum] Transcorruption Agenda! I'm ashamed to be linked with arms scandal – FalaeThe Chief can return the money if he misappropriated it. The money was provided to the party through him and he did as instructed. Those asking the Chief to return the money should return the money they used in flying all over the country in all the parties including PMB, BRF, Amaechi etc.I think there is something in the air in Nigeria that turn folks into fascist even after spending most of their adult life in countries with rule of law.
