I am reaching out to invite you to the 3rd Annual State of Africatown to be held on January 16 at Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute and will feature presentations on the accomplishments of the last year as well as vision, opportunities and challenges facing the African American and African Diaspora community in 2016. The full line up of presenters will be announced next week.
Please let me know if you or your organization would like to help with the event in any capacity (marketing, day of event volunteer, food sponsor, children's room or other.).

2015 was a productive year for Central District based Africatown Seattle initiatives ending with and Human Rights Award followed by the signing of legislation formally designating the Central Area as an Arts & Cultural District focused honoring, preserving and developing the Black and African Diaspora contributions to Seattle.
This is the Third Annual listening opportunity for our elected officials and community stakeholders; induct Elders of Distinction; Learn about new Central District Historic and Culture District (Africatown) Performance by First Place Scholars with their Sensei Harold Nichols and Josephine Howell.
