Just came across it:
"There will be a report on the summit in January where we will get a briefing on the visitor who is called Barack Obama. He did not come to visit Mugabe. He went to Ethiopia and asked to visit the HQ."

Mugabe To Obama: I Don't Care About AU Meeting Snub
5 months ago 22003

Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe who is the chairman of African Union (AU) has said that he is unbothered at not being among several African leaders who met US President Barack Obama at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia when he visited today July 28, 2015.
Mugabe, through his spokesperson George Charamba, said that he was not moved by Obama's visit to the organisation he chairs, describing it as just "a visit by any other visitor".
"The chairman does not run the AU centre. Obama has come to Ethiopia for an official visit and to address the staff there. There are many dignitaries who come to the AU headquarters and you can imagine if all come requiring the chairman's prescence," Charamba was quoted by News Day.
The spokesperson said that Mugabe thought of Obama as just a head of state of another country.
"If you are afraid of him, we are not because he is just a Head of State who visits Africa and the AU headquarters by virtue of his ancestry. Madam Dhlamini-Zuma (AU Commission chairperson) is big enough to receive him," he said, refusing to comment on whether President Mugabe was aware of the ongoings on the meeting.
Charamba said that the AU was not an organisation owned and run by Zimbabwe, and for any details on the event, one should contact the AU offices.
He said that Mugabe, just like other leaders who were not present, would be briefed at the next annual AU meeting in January.
"There will be a report on the summit in January where we will get a briefing on the visitor who is called Barack Obama. He did not come to visit Mugabe. He went to Ethiopia and asked to visit the HQ."
Mugabe's administration has expreienced strained relations with Washington and other Western governments, owing to his alleged dictatorial leadership,
With today's address to the African body where issues such as good governance and security were top on the agenda, President Obama became the first US leader to address the African Union for the 52 years it has been in existence.
He was welcomed by the AU commission head Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma who told Obama "we claim you as one of our own".
