Victoria Ibezim-Ohaeri on Facebook
347 people massacred and buried in mass graves in Kaduna and nobody has been queried, let alone punished? No outrage anywhere?
Not once, not twice, not even thrice have I decided to quit the social media and quit all forms of public commentary. Several times, I have told myself to quit social advocacy, hit the private sector, make some mega-bucks for myself and my family, and live a good life forever. I can do this. I can.
But yet, I read news like this and I cannot sleep at night. A raging fire burns deep inside me and wont let me keep silent in the face of atrocious injustices meted on citizens by the same authorities they look up to for protection.
What kind of country is this? Where is our humanity? Where is our conscience?
Speaking on Monday when he appeared before the judicial commission which the Kaduna state government set up to probe the clash, Musa said the burial took place between 12:30am and 5:30am on December 14.
Benjamin Adelaja Adekunle That figure is apparently half of those STILL missing.
When it occurred and outrage sounded from so many, those close to the epicentre said things that made one lose more faith in humanity.
Those who thought this incident could be excused, swept away and forgotten under the carpet are not aware of the properties of the blood that runs in their own veins.
This will bear consequences in conscience, in courts and in hearts.... Victoria Ibezim-Ohaeri Its beginning to look like Nigeria does not have a leadership at all. That's the way it seems Uzoma Owuamanam This is pure genocide ...The figure as admitted by the kaduna state government is a conservative figure...... Over 1000 shittes were massacred.......zoo republic. Bunmi Olorunfemi Gen Buhari, Tukur Burutai and Gov El rufai should have their day at the ICC. This is crime against humanity . It can not be swept under the carpet . Muhammad Hashim Suleiman The killings were uncalled for. VIO, what of the hundreds killed by the Zakzakies! Just a day to that clash, they (Zakzakies) where in a killing spree in a village outside Zaria. Also, for many years, these have people have constituted themselves into an alien law in Zaria, they arrest, they detain and even kill whom they wanted to kill and the security apparatuses kept a distance from them. Adedeji Ademola Taofik Please we need you to give us details accounts of How many people this sec Zakyzaky killed and why didn't any media report those incidences? Sorry to say that no amount of justisfication can be given for killing 347 people on a single attack without any report of any soldiers injured or killed in that attacked? this is worrisome and justice must be giving for those responsible for this attack. Muhammad Hashim Suleiman Please, go to my first comment, I am not justifying the killings, all I am hinting is that killers were killed in no equal proportion. Just Google history of Shi'ate killings in Nigeria and details would await you. Victoria Ibezim-Ohaeri Muhammad Hashim Suleiman: Is that information in the public domain? If the Shiites also killed innocent citizens, let the evidence be made public. Let the victims come forward with their evidence. What would not be tolerable is when a dog is given a bad name in order to kill it. That's not right. Muhammad Hashim Suleiman Victoria Ibezim-Ohaeri yes it was in public domain. Even on my time line we have been documenting it. The society in Gyallesu that was turned to Gyallesustan have been documenting it on public domain, the attacks on emir Zazzau by the Zakzakies was on public domain, when they attacked the former Kaduna state governor, it was in Public domain, when more than 15 years ago, they attacked Kutama village in Kano state and killed many people it was in public domain, the Danmaishiyya attacks in the city of Sokoto was in public domain. Their annual capture of Zaria town for days was in public domain. When they attacked the COAS, it was public domain.
We that are Zaria based have been in public domain and we personally know their atrocities for decade. Isaiah El Okoro So, the Zakizakies killings is revenge for their past atrocities?
Jungle Justice meted out on citizens of a supposed Democratic country?
And some persons are justifying it, Muhammad Hashim Suleiman? Maxwell Enebeli no...... they love R/S soooo much..... that is where their interest is....... Don C Okafor It's unfortunate. For those that don't understand, this fight is the Nigerian version of Sunni vs. Shiites (shia). The former is the dominant sect in Nigeria. This is a war between the aforementioned Islamic denominational groups Uzoma Owuamanam Imagine if this had happened during GEJ tenure.....what el-rufai and his likes up north would have said......blood blood everywhere in Nigeria......ayam tired sef. Ihu Aku Depressing... No value for life! Philip Oshiokpekhai Orbih The DSS is busy planning more genocide particularly in the South East going by the press statement they released on Saturday allegedly accusing IPOB of killing fulani herdsmen. Sabir Omar When some mumus justify the killing of lives just to settle scores; you will marvel at their black and sick hearts. For whatever reason killing 300 unarmed people is not only barbaric the justification is specious. Extra judicial killing is among the reasons that aggravated the monstrous Bokoharam. We shouldn't support murder even if it kills our enemies, one day it may turn to us and we'll have no conscience to counter it. Idu Paul One day one day surely the perpetrators of this ghastly and hideous crime will be arraigned at the Hague ..Mark my words that day is coming pretty soon Kenneth Chigelu The summary : a blood thirsty government of misanthropisim, relishing the anguish and death of her citizens with callous indifference. Could this be a punishment from God? Balogun Adedayo Ojo '...nobody has been queried' Agreed, the army is indicted and the kaduna state panel will establish if a wrong order had been given and recommend a legal course of action. Success Ayobore Where are those politicizing Chibok Girls? Are these not as humans. I tire for Nigeria Geoffrey Joseph O Amah I pray the Buhari administration does not force me to become a social anti-bad-governance advocate.
My bitterness is increasing. I want him to succeed, but I am losing patience daily. Ejikeme Ibe This is called "dogs and baboons soaking in their own blood". Daniel IG Obasi I came here to read the RDs.Always trying to derail the post by trying to make it look insignificant. 37 bodies are just that .Even if its 55 or 37 the bottom line is the PRESIDENT IS OVER HIS HEAD.HE IS VERY INCOMPETENT __._,_.___
