In this day and age of rampant corruption, we could all breathe a collective sigh of relief, that things are really not so bad, and so we would too if independent investigations of corruption could exonerate some of the ogas and ogres being charged with embezzlement, fraud and other financial misdemeanours....
Re - The South African Arms Deal, the good news is that the Inquiry has cleared President Zuma of any wrongdoing…

( There's been so much fallout by even mere speculation about South Africa's purchase of Swedish Jas planes to the tune of several billion kronor. In his time, President Thabo Mbeki was over at the SIDA house in Stockholm to iron things out (I was there) the main concern by some of the conscientious people being that in the state of the South African economy the more pressing task of relieving the former victims of apartheid from poverty should be prioritized over any arms deals.
Of course, there is no gainsaying that we (Sweden) were being deservingly rewarded for our many years of staunch support for the cause , but when the speculation was mired in rumours of bribery and corruption, then you had better believe in our "putting morality ahead of profit" either that or you can – as Madiba said , " Go jump into the pool!")
