I agree with you, Prof Ogungbemi, that the federal government is being noisy on this matter. Equally disturbing was the spirit of the meeting itself. The gathering of stakeholders of tertiary institutions yesterday was expected to be a deliberative and consultative platform for plocies of admission. It was not really designed for a pontificative context, where the minister of education would just make a declarative statement, that would conclude the entire meeting, even at the outset! If it was designed for that, then why invite everybody?
