Brother Biko,
Thanks for this project on CLR James's contribution to sociology and black social thought. I need to read more on James so this was an excellent primer. It calls to mind the Trinidadian pan-Africanist, Kwame Ture, who exhorted us to "organize, organize, organize!"--almost certainly influenced by James. Also important to note that Malcolm was assassinated as he was organizing the OAAU and Muslim Mosque Inc. But I wonder if Marxists make a fetish of organized action? To my thinking the point is to use you talents, whatever they are, to the service of your people and towards the aims of Black liberation. To that end is Marcus Garvey's contribution to black struggle (organized) to James Baldwin's contribution (no organization)? Or is it not the point that they have made different contributions each being significant in its own right?
I look forward to the documentary.
Forward ever,
Brother Shabazz
