Subject: Re: Buhari's lonely anti-corruption war | Punch Newspapers
Your essay makes a good reading. However, you missed the point on the role that a leader can play in changing an unwholesome situation. I do not see anything wrong with the president leading the war and making some faulty stepsbespecially if one notes how pervasive corruption is in Nigeria. What remains is for people of good conscience to give a helping hand. It is better to do something than not to do anything at. Mistakes are bound to be made as you have noted but it must be recognised that moving from an entrenched corruptive environment to an era of transparency is an uphill task. The point you have made on buy-in by other stakeholders is important and noted. I am sure if we continue on the track all the drawbacks you have noted will be addressed. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. Thank you my brother.
