Richard:
We all have been very proud of your life-long dedication to the improvement of the quality of governance in Africa. Cameroonians, especially, are indebted to you for the seminal study that you conducted on the UPC and the independence movement in Cameroon. You should note that even after more than 50 years of reunification and significant academic work, no scholar has been able to match your text on the UPC and the role that it played in Cameroon's struggle to rid itself of colonial domination. Of course, your Fourth Dimension (Enugu) book remains quite relevant, even to today's student of Cameroon political economy.
Stay well and please, keep working.
With best wishes,
Sincerely,
John

Thank you, John.
In light of developments, not sure we can wait for summer. I hope to be back in Nigeria in February or March for a talk and workshop.
The current stage of editing a selection of my Nigeria commentaries since 1977 will have been completed. The volume will eventually be made available online. The core ideas distilled from this exercise, however, can be presented and discussed during the proposed visit.
Best wishes,
Richard
Very informative interview. And, very timely too. This could form the foundation for a workshop next summer.
