This is indeed a very sad news!
What time did this kind of inferno take place?
Were there no Security guards, staff, students........ do something to
at least ?
How could the entire library burn to ashes with nothing left?
It is highly incredible....
Was the building/Library ever insured?
While we ponder over these and many other questions which yearn for
answers, l think all lovers of knowledge should start to think and act
on how the library could be brought to life again. Donation of books,
launching of appeal funds to procure items that would bring academic
vitality back to the University of Jos are very germane at this point.
Prof Sati Fwatshak, please just take time off so you can go and cool
off somewhere in order to get off the shock and make appropriate
plans. l can imagine what your feelings would be at this time.
God will uphold you and all our people out there.
