Once upon a time the idea was that members of the nuclear club would get together and form the first world government, but nuclear war could jeopardise such a dream and now, even now as the US elections are hotting up , maybe with more wikileaks to follow, Mrs Clinton can try this on for size: Putin ally tells Americans: Vote Trump or face nuclear war
Estimating the effect this kind of news item will have on the US electorate , should not be too difficult. I believe that it could have precisely the same kind of effect that Obama had on the Brexit vote – when he advised the Brits to either vote to stay in the EU or leave and find themselves at the back of the queue (and here I'm supposing that Americans don't like being given voting directives by non- Americans, especially not Russians (who are currently toying with the idea of setting up military bases in Cuba (Cuba very much on my mind just now, after a whole day at the synagogue took off directly to day six of the Stockholm Jazz festival at the Fasching Jazz Club to listen to the Alfredo Rodriguez Trio featuring Ganavya Doraiswamy – the highpoint of the evening their performance of "Yemayá" introduced as " the goddess of the sea, according to the Afro-Cuban religion")
