I have previously posted some of these demands, which the Niger Delta should make of the Federal Government of Nigeria, even as the Avengers continue with their campaign in the region.

As long as the Federal Government of Nigeria depends on oil exports for most of its revenues, (1) the petroleum minister must be a citizen from the Niger Delta; (2) either the President or the Vice-President must be a citizen from the Niger Delta; (3) the ownership of oil blocks must be redesigned in such a way that 52 percent of all of the oil blocks are owned by individuals, business interests and the communities of the Niger Delta. The communities should have their share of the oil blocks as institutional owners.

Unless such conditions are met, the Niger Delta should consider seceding from Nigeria, and signing at the same time, 50-year trade and security pacts with some of the major world powers.

Wilfred Inko-Tariah In the current government that Buhari runs, were freedom and liberty are absent, the Avenge must not give in to him, the Niger Delta must not allow anyone to think that our oil should be a spoil of war, that we are captured or slaves to anyone and we demand that our oil resources is 100% ours and no one has to force it out of our hand.
For all these, we can go to the United Nation and fight for our rights.
