My People:
I can testify to Peter Obi's uncommon frugality - almost extra-ordinary - in interacting with him in Anambra State........he guarded the state's money as if it was his own trading company.
Corruption aside, "legal" governance in Nigeria - salaries, allowances, perks, etc. - is extraordinarily expensive, and is un-sustainable. Unless individual PROACTIVE steps like Obi took are taken - or iron-clad legislation is enacted - there will never be enough to go around to the "ordinary" citizens.
Kudos to Peter Obi......but em it is not all the story, what with all his later political miscalculations on leaving APGA! :-)
