I've no idea how authentic this is. If could be tongue-in-cheek
satire, it could be fake news, it could be dead serious.
But I think it does give some insight into the role of religion in

Witches are planning "a mass binding ritual to be performed at
midnight on every waning crescent moon until Donald Trump is removed
from office."
They tried such rituals against Trump during the election, and
obviously failed miserably. Even so, we should still set aside this
time over the next four (eight!) years to pray for President Trump,
his administration and family, and his supporters, all of which have
already been targets of violence, ridicule and slander, and even
murder attempts.
The first ritual will take place Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, beginning at
exactly midnight Eastern time (the time zone of the White House, Trump
Tower, and Mar-a-Lago). These things have more supporters at the
beginning, so the next few months it's most important to participate
in a counter-ritual or prayer. People are reporting that privately,
they've been imaging snakes entwined around President Trump's neck
choking him, and asking where they can get his hair or nail clippings
to use for spells.
Here are the dates they have planned. It will be at midnight on every
waning crescent moon the next four years: February 24, March 26, April
24, May 23, June 21 (Summer Solstice), July 21, August 19, etc.
They're using the hashtags #bindtrump, #magicresistance and #feb24.
A counter-group of conservative pagans will be doing a Protection
Ritual for President Trump and the First Family. Two Chaos Magicians
for Trump are reportedly doing a counter-ritual. The Hermetic Order of
the Golden Dawn has called the Trump binding spell Black Magick
performed by "crypto-Nazi witches" and are planning their own
counter-ritual, writing: "We are redirecting their ritual to bind the
REAL Fascists – like George Soros and the Islamic Supremacists the
brainwashed American left is allied with." Radionics guru Charles
Cosimano said "they will fail because I am blocking it. Every bit of
energy they send is going into a vampire process and transformed into
energy to make Trump more powerful."
It's been reported that "rightwing Christians will be holding . . . a
'Rosary Crusade' requesting the intercession of [St.] Michael the
Archangel in the early morning hours." Calling it a "declaration of
spiritual war," the Christian Nationalist Alliance is announcing a Day
of Prayer on each of the dates, and is asking supporters to read Psalm
23.
You can read the whole anti-Trump ritual on the Facebook page or
online. It's a binding spell asking that the president "fail utterly,"
bind anyone helping him, and that he "do no harm" to any human,
animal, tree, rock, stream, or sea.
I'm not too worried about this ritual they have planned, since a quick
read reveals they only have basic knowledge of Magick and the spell
won't be effective. For one, their instructions have them doing a
banishing ritual after doing an invocation (the reverse should be
done, otherwise you're banishing what you've just invoked). It also
says "experienced magicians" can do a banishing. These are the types
of people who think the Golden Dawn's LBRP is the height of
experience, when actually it's about the most basic ritual you can
learn.
Secondly, the anti-Trump ritual involves asking that no animals be
harmed while they are using a feather in it. One person commented that
their feather came from a down pillow (and unless they made the pillow
from fallen feathers, the feathers were ripped off the duck or goose,
causing it severe pain). A basic rule of magick is, if elements of the
ritual go against the intent of your ritual, it will fail. The
anti-Trump spell is like asking for your dog to be healed from
sickness using a ritual that involves beating him.
I'm curious how many of the snowflake witches participating will be
vegans (since the ritual binds Trump from harming animals), have no
wood furniture or houses (harming trees), and never flush the toilet
or use chemical products (polluting the water). The gods don't take
kindly to those requesting hypocritical favors. I'll leave the other
problematic aspects in the ritual for them to figure out.
The ritual also asks that Trump not "fill our minds with hate,
confusion, fear, or despair" and asks that the spirits bind "All those
who enable his wickedness" and "And those whose mouths speak his
poisonous lies."
This means that if you're a Trump supporter, this ritual is targeting
YOU and is a trying to infringe on your free will. You know the people
doing this ritual are the same ones who talk about the Wiccan rede of
"an it harm none, do what thou wilt." They have a disclaimer saying it
is a binding spell, not a curse. But really, binding someone from
hurting a rock or tree would prohibit their ability to even live on
the earth. Asking spirits to bind someone who isn't harming anyone
directly, but only enforcing America's compassionate laws, is an
indication that those participating are black magicians.
They claim all this is done in the name of Liberty, Love, Equality,
and Peace–except for those that support Trump, in which case they want
to launch a spiritual warfare against you.
The ritual also involves burning a humiliating photo of Trump with an
orange candle and imagining him blowing to dust. An excellent point of
concentration for a counter-ritual is to imagine their ritual causing
the ridicule of Trump to disappear as their photos burn away.
A Pro-Trump Counter Ritual
If you're Christian, at midnight on these dates simply pray for
President Trump's protection, and that God bind his enemies who wish
to harm him and protect him from this kind of spiritual warfare. Pray
that God continues to guide his decisions, and pray for the safety of
his family, his team, and his supporters. Catholics may wish to ask
certain saints for additional protection, like St. Michael. Some of
the witches will be reciting Psalm 109, "A Cry for Vengeance," with
verses like "As he loved cursing / so let it come unto him / as he
delighted not in blessing / so let it be far from him," so it's a good
one to read while focusing on those trying to harm the president.
We've learned that the black magicians planning the anti-Trump ritual
are using an orange candle (or a carrot or small pumpkin). Thus,
setting up an orange candle on your altar or on a table, and lighting
it with the intention of giving Trump strength will help counter the
effects of the color they've chosen. (You can do this throughout the
month at any time, not just on the days of the ritual.)
Another method, for those magically inclined, is a counter-ritual.
I've let them do the work, and just modified their ritual to make it
supportive of Trump and counteract their binding spell. I did this at
midnight when I was half-asleep, so if you have any suggestions please
comment below. This ritual is written to the ultimate God, so people
of any faith can use it as-is or adapt it to their preferences.
A Ritual for Strength and Light for President Trump and His Supporters
Components:
Flattering photo of President Trump
The Sun Tarot card (optional)
Orange candle (as beautiful as you can afford)
Pin or small nail (to inscribe candle)
White candle, representing the element of Spirit
Red candle or a match, representing the element of Fire
Small bowl of water, representing the element of Water
Small bowl of salt, representing the element of Earth
Stick of incense, representing the element of Air
Matches or lighter
Preparation:
Write "Strength to President Trump" or something similar, on the
orange candle with a pin or nail
Arrange other items in a pleasing circle in front of you and light the
incense and red candle. (Or light these during your opening. No need
to light the match if you're using that to represent Fire.)
Lean the Sun card against something so that it's standing up.
Perform an appropriate banishing ritual. Say a prayer for protection
and invoke blessing from your preferred spirit or deity. Reading the
23rd Psalm aloud is common in Hoodoo/Conjure/Rootwork traditions.
Light the incense and red candle if you haven't already.

Give Trump and his administration
physical health, mental strength,
and resolve to keep their promises.

to outshine any darkness in our land.
Protect his supporters
from those who seek to cause
